Unabandoning Road Project in Lagos

The Government of Lagos state declare that
it was a policy of the administration in the state that no project would ever be abandoned, that he did not abandon the Ota-Ona/Awolowo Road project in Ikorodu.
Ministry of Works and Infrastructure stated that "the present  weather condition is the causes of their delayed which has prevented the  process of delivering the next stage of the road project which is the installation or application of water proofing additives which requires clear and dry weather to do. As soon as there is sufficient dry season, obvious progress will be seen.”
The government at the same time urged residents of the area to exercise patience, saying it would transform the state’s infrastructure, especially roads, so that the residents would reap the benefits of economic growth and poverty eradication.
The statement said, “The commitment of making the dream become a reality must be reaffirmed by both the government and the people.
“The best way out is always perseverance and commitment to the greater benefit that will be realised.
“It is a price being paid for the greater gain that will manifest in improved travel time, reduction in maintenance cost, increase in property value, not to mention the aesthetic improvement given the quality of the road.”
