439 Army graduate as counter-terrorism soldiers

 439 soldiers, Tuesday graduated from the Counter-Terrorism and Counter-Insurgency Centre of  the Nigerian Army in Jaji, Kaduna State.
The Commandant of the centre, Brig.-Gen. Tijjani Golau, said the graduands were trained on identification of Improved Explosive Devices, search techniques as well as search and arrest procedures.

He  also said they received training in information and intelligence gathering techniques, rescue operations, patrol, and raids as well as fighting in built-up areas.

He added that  the participants had acquired requisite skills to enhance their performance.

The Army chief said, “Their training was very compact and intensive for three weeks and graduands have met the mandatory requirements as members of the Quick Response Group in the Nigerian Army.
