Ahead of the United States presidential elections, first lady Michelle
Obama has made an impassioned speech canvassing for support for her
husband,
President Barack Obama at the Democratic convention. Recounting
their 23-year relationship, Obama said her husband understood the
“American Dream” because he had lived it and wanted the same for every
American citizen. She pointed out that the White House hadn’t changed
him, also stating that his decisions as president were largely
influenced by his personal values and experiences. President Obama will
formally accept nomination on Thursday and face Republican Mitt Romney
in November. A poll shows that Obama currently maintains a thin lead
over Romney
